Le Lumiere (Lighting Fixture) by Rob van Puijenbroek
2011 - 2012, Golden A' Lighting Design Award Winner
Inspiration
energy saving light bulbs that most of the time are big and not to beautiful. I wanted to create a bulb less lamp.
Creativity
This ‘bulbless’ lamp uses the latest, dimmable 25 Watt LEDs. The lamp bracket hangs on three thin threads, one of which is actually used for the power supply. The lamp bracket with minimal proportions can also be supplied with two lampshades differing in height that alter the atmosphere to suit the user. In this way, an interior can be given a different impact with just one action. This fits in with the contemporary interior trend: D.I.Y., utilizing flexible furniture that ensures an effective and dynamic use of the space.
Design Challenges
Rob van Puijenbroek did not encounter any design challenges while designing the award winning Le Lumiere Lighting Fixture.
Production Technology
50x4cm Our products are produced as close to home as possible. Many parts are therefore from the Netherlands or Germany. All the mounting work is done manually in the Netherlands. All products are designed to create a long lifetime.
