Inspiration
The symbolic letter on the bottle, which stands out like a crest, is comprised of a Japanese word which means “raw”. Patterns inspired by Japanese cut glass enhance Japaneseness of the novel sake.
Creativity
Unpasteurized sake has not been widely known outside Japan. The mission of Awanawa is to deliver the authentic savor of sake to the rest of the world in a completely new style. The design is aimed at putting this new brand into a different genre from Japanese sake.
Design Challenges
Ryuta Ishikawa did not encounter any design challenges while designing the award winning Awanama Sake-Japanese Rice Wine.
Production Technology
The black color of the bottle doesn’t only screen out the sake from light, but also make the white symbol stand out. Delicate patterns covering the bottle make its appearance even more luxurious.
